About immigration
It is with pride that Canada accomodates new immigrants for a long time. The system of immigration, the system of reception of the refugees, as well as the network of organizations established to facilitate the establishment and the integration of the newcomers in Canada appear among the best in the world. A Canadian resident on six was born outside the country. Immigration contributed to make of Canada a prosperous and progressive nation equipped with a great cultural richness. For political reason of stability a country is selected each year to shelter recruitment.

Citizenship: a Canadian history 60 years of Canadian citizenship Citizenship and Canada Immigration prepared the citizenship: a Canadian history within the framework of the demonstrations aiming at underlining the 60e birthday of the first law on the citizenship of Canada. Far from being a complete history, they are more bits of stories. The elements which appear in it are not exhaustive, but representative. They are stereotypes illustrating the vastness the traversed way and, in certain cases, all the way which remains to be made. However, taken together, they tell a history: the value of the Canadian citizenship, size of the achievements of those which make the their principles of a good citizenship and our pride to be Canadian.
